Say hello to my fourth novel

Yes folks, you read that right - I’ve got a new YA book coming out this summer!

My fourth novel MY EX AND OTHER MONSTERS is officially on its way June 18th, and I’m super excited to introduce you to this gorgeous cover. I’m still absoutely perplexed as to how I’ve been so lucky to get so many gorgeous covers for the various iterations of my writing. I feel genuinely lucky.

But what is this wacky new book about, exactly? Well. Allow me to clue you in:

Indie Reynolds has given up on romance, and perfected the art of cool, calm and uninterested. When a casual family curse means that everyone you fall in love with turns into a literal monster, shutting down that part of your brain becomes kind of a necessity.

That’s why Indie makes sure that any relationship she has stays positively un­-serious. And it’s why she can’t risk falling for her new colleague Max, even if he does have endless charm and a perfect jawline.

But when sparks start flying between them, Indie realises that feelings don’t always do what they’re told. Can she find a way to break her curse and finally let someone get close to her, or is her love life doomed for ever?

This book may or may not be my favourite thing I’ve ever written? It’s got all the sarcasm, darkness and weirdness you’ve come to expect from me, but with a special sprinkling of heart that for whatever reason has resonated with me more than usual this time around.
